Air Quality Advisory through Tuesday, November 20, due to heavy wildfire smoke impacts in parts of the Bay Area from the Camp Fire in Butte County. See our Wildfire Safety Tips web page.

Title V Applicability Criteria - Major Facility

  1. Major Facility: A facility with the potential to emit pollutants equal to or greater than one or more major source thresholds as follow:
    1. 100 tons per year of a criteria air pollutant (NOx, SO2, Pb, VOC, CO or PM10);
    2. 10 tons per year of a Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP). (The initial list of HAPs is in CAA section 112(b), EPA has the authority to revise the list and should be consulted for the current list.); or
    3. 25 tons per year of any combination of HAPs.
