Tri Valley

Resource Team

The Tri-Valley Spare the Air Resource Team invites you to join the effort to Spare the Air in the Tri-Valley through two innovative projects: “AQIA” - the Tri-Valley Air Impact Award and Idle-Free Tri-Valley.

AQIA – Tri-Valley Air Quality Impact Award – Congratulations to Workday in Pleasanton, winner of the 2017 Air Quality Impact Award. Workday understands that a healthy economy that maximizes human potential requires sustaining a healthy planet. Workday minimizes the carbon footprint of its workforce commute by promoting clean air commute options that have the co-benefits of saving employees money on commute costs and improving air quality near their Pleasanton headquarters. Congratulations to this year’s AQIA winner!

Idle Free Tri-Valley – Idling means leaving a vehicle’s engine running when it is parked or not in use. Drivers can save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by simply turning off the ignition key. Over 1,500 parents, teachers, friends, and family members have already signed the Idle-Free pledge! Sign the pledge and you’ll be entered into a monthly prize drawing. Help spread the word — sample newsletter articles suitable for use in your school or community newsletter and other resources are available. Watch the short Idle Free video.
