Your

Community

Each of the nine counties in the Bay Area is made up of smaller communities and neighborhoods with unique air quality concerns.  The Air District is interested in involving the Bay Area's many diverse communities and perpectives in our work.
Community Resource Teams

Spare the Air in your Community

One of the Air District’s innovative efforts to engage the public involved the formation of local resource teams in 1991. From that day onward, civic groups, agencies, businesses, and environmental organizations have met regularly and worked collaboratively to implement projects that promote cleaner air.

Team members are responsible for developing and carrying out local projects. Each team gets facilitated support to foster effective communication among team members, to assist with planning projects, to help team members allocate tasks, and to ensure that the work gets done.
